Another One So Soon–Disney Announces New Member to Fleet

Disney Cruise Line recently welcomed their newest ship, the Disney Dream into their fleet.

The Disney Dream entered service on January 26, 2011. There has been much excitement about Disney’s first new ship in more than 10 years. There are a lot of new and upgraded amenities for Disney passengers to check out.

But apparently Disney didn’t think one new ship was enough because coming at the end of March 2012, Disney will welcome another new ship!

The Disney Fantasy will join her family on March 31st 2012. She will be 130,000 gross tons and able to hold 4,000 passengers. That is a lot of space to have a magical Disney vacation!

Not only will the Fantasy also have the AquaDuck, the world’s first shipboard water coaster, but the rumor is she will have a few new treats as well. I guess we will have to wait and see what they are.

The Disney Fantasy will be sailing 7 night itineraries from from Port Canaveral–rotating Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.

When sailing to the Eastern Caribbean she is expected to port in St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Castaway Cay. If you are interested in the Western Caribbean, you should expect to visit Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Castaway Cay, Key West, or Costa Maya. Costa Maya will be a new port for Disney so that is pretty exciting as well!

If you can’t wait to get on board, Disney has already opened up reservations for the Fantasy! You can go ahead and book for the maiden voyage on March 31, 2012 through August 2012.

Why not be one of the first ones on board this awesome ship. And don’t forget not only will the kids have fun, but there are some awesome adult only spaces on board as well.

I know my reservation is already made. Hope to see you on board!
