In the Know: Princess Cruises Alcohol and Beverage Policy

Unwind in the comfortable elegance of your Princess Cruises ship. Whether you’re having cocktails with friends or are curled up under a warm fleece blanket enjoying scenic cruising, their ships are upscale but never stuffy, designed for you to escape completely.

Princess Cruises will allow you to bring your favorite non-alcoholic beverage onboard such as soda, juice or water the first day of embarkation. You are also permitted to bring one 750ml bottle of wine and/or champagne per person on board to consume in the privacy of your stateroom, but it is not permitted in public areas of the ship.  If you wish to consume the wine with dinner a $15.00 corkage fee will be charged. Wine in the box is discouraged.

You are not permitted to bring any other alcoholic beverage onboard. If found, it will be confiscated at the gangway for safekeeping and delivered to your stateroom the last day of the cruise. Additionally, only those passengers 21 years and older will be allowed to purchase or consume alcohol once onboard. For those whose age is questionable, picture identification may be requested.

Princess offers 4 different non-alcoholic beverage package for you to choose from:

  • A Canned Soda Package — Choose six sodas , any combination, for the price of five. Choose from Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Diet Sprite, orange soda, soda water, tonic water, ginger ale. This package is offered for $11.75.
  • Unlimited Soda Package — With this package you are given a souvenir tumbler and allowed unlimited fountain sodas from any of the dining venues, bars, lounges on the ship, as well as on their private island.  The cost for the soda card is just $4.50 per person, per day, and must be purchased for the duration of the cruise. A one time, 15% gratuity will be billed at the time of purchase.
  • Unlimited Soda and More Package — This entitles you to the above Unlimited Soda Package plus any mocktails, juices, shakes, floats and complimentary hot chocolate throughout your cruise. The price is $7 per person, per day, a one time 15% gratuity will be billed at the time of purchase.
  • They also offer a unique Specialty Coffee Package. With this coffee card you are entitled to 15 specialty coffees anywhere espresso or cappuccinos are served and complimentary brewed coffee and premium tea. Each time a hot or cold specialty coffee is ordered, a hole is punched in your card until all are used. The coffee comes in a 12 or 16 oz. size. The cost per package is $31.00.

Wine packages are available to purchase in bundles of 3, 5 or 7 bottles; saving you about 25% off purchasing them individually.

Liquor packages are not available so your favorite cocktails will need to be purchased by the glass.
